Where is the studio located?

Jamie’s Dance Studio is located at 88 North Court Street Owingsville, KY 40360.

 Directions to the studio –
           

From I-64, take exit #121
           

Take 36 North (past fast food and gas stations and up the hill)
      

At the stoplight turn right onto Main Street.
           

Make quick left on North Court Street.
           

This will circle around to front of the studio on the right.

Do you need shoes before starting classes? Where can I order shoes?

I recommend not buying shoes for 1-2 months after starting clogging.  After this time period, shoes will be brought to the studio and each dancer can be sized and purchase shoes if they choose.  If you are interested in buying clogging shoes, please call Debbie Copher at (606) 674-2677.

Do you have to compete?

No, we have classes for kids wanting to clog for recreation only.

Do you have a class for someone with limited clogging experience, but not a beginner?

We offer classes for every level from beginner through advanced.  We also have teams ranging in skill level and age.  There will be a class/team for anyone wanting to dance at Jamie’s Dance Studio.

How old do you have to be to start classes?

I recommended a child to be 5 years old before beginning class.  I will permit a 4-year-old child to take classes if they can adjust in both skill and behavior.

What types of dance do you teach?

This is a clogging studio. In each class the dancers will also learn some jazz, hip hop, & modern dance, but all classes are based around clogging.

When do new classes start?

Typically new classes for beginners start each February and September.  To get information, or put on a call list, email tapsimotion @ windstream.net or call (606) 674-2987 at anytime.  Dancers with any clogging experience can be placed in classes or on a team at anytime
